So I had a little play...

What's the distributions of lap times over the course of the race? Can we spot when people are pitting?

Maybe we prefer looking at the times for each driver over the race as a whole, or comparing the times for two or more drivers?

The stacked line chart provides another way of making this comparison. You can look at all the results, or just the profile for a single driver.

The following bar chart view also lets us compare the performance of different drivers:

And the next bar chart view lets us look at perfromance over several laps. How well did times come down in the two ro three laps following a pit stop, for example?
